Minimum Qualifications
Age Requirement
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
- No maximum age limit for application.
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- College coursework in criminal justice, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Citizenship & Residency
- Must be a legal resident of San Andreas.
- Must possess a valid San Andreas driver's license at the time of appointment.
Physical Fitness
- Must pass the LSPD Physical Fitness Qualifier (PFQ), which includes a timed obstacle course, push-ups, sit-ups, and a 1.5-mile run.
- Must meet vision standards: correctable to 20/20 in both eyes.
- Must be in good overall health with no conditions that would impair duty performance.
Background & Character
- Must have no felony convictions.
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation including employment history, personal references, and financial review.
- Must demonstrate good moral character and integrity.
Psychological & Medical
- Must pass a psychological evaluation conducted by a licensed psychologist.
- Must pass a medical examination confirming fitness for duty.
- Must pass a drug screening test.
